A. Lift Irrigation Scheme
Irrigation facility is provided to the agricultural land through lift irrigation scheme utilizing the perennial source of water (rivers) and lifting water through pipe lines. Wherever perennial water sources are not available, borewells are dug underground within the water points identified through the help of expert geologists and tanks are built for storage of water and to help flow through the pipes to the lands. These borewells are maintained for five years at the Cost of the Corporation, thereafter it will be handed over to the consumer co-operatives of the beneficiaries. Advice and assistance of the agricultural experts will be provided to enable farmers to get good yield.This Scheme is a subsidy scheme.
Eligibility:
- The beneficiaries should belong to the religious minority communities as defined in the Government Order.
- Should be permanent residents of Karnataka State.
- They should be small and marginal farmers.
- The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs.22,000/-
Those who have less than 5 acrs and Minimum 7 persons from Minority community whose lands are adjacent to each other will be provided with “Lift” irrigation facility.
B. Individual Borewell

These borewells are maintained for five years at the Cost of Corporation, thereafter it will be handed over to the consumer co-operatives of the beneficiaries. Advice and assistance of the agricultural experts will be porvided to enable farmers to get good yeild.This scheme is a subsidy scheme.
Under this scheme, for the beneficiaries holding 2 to 5 acres of land, one borewell will be drilled or open well will be constructed and pump set will be supplied by KMDC. The total expenditure is Rs.1,00,000/- this includes pump & Energisation charges.

Procedure of Selection:
The District Managers of the concerned District invites the application through newspapers. The received application will be scrutinized and District Manager will place the proposal before the Taluk committee headed by concerned MLA who is the Chairman of the Committee. The Committee will select the beneficiary and forward the proceedings to the head office.
